Members of the royal family including Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed and Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed performed Eid Al Adha prayers at the Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Mosque.
A number of other prominent Sheikhs were also present including Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed, chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation.
The sermon was led by Dr Omar Al Khatib who covered a range of topics including parents, authority and maintaining Covid-19 precautionary measures.
Dr Khatib also called for the ties of kinship, kindness to neighbours and good deeds in these blessed days.
It’s only the second time Eid prayers have been held in mosques since the pandemic began. Like in May, prayer mats have been spaced out for social distancing. And prayers were limited to 15 minutes including the sermon.
Yesterday, the UAE leaders shared greetings on social media wishing everyone a happy and blessed Eid Al Adha.
As are we at DubaiLAD.
